Students were given a stack of brown and white t-shirts, an assortment of discard fabric and three hours to complete their challenge. Students were asked to take a t-shirt, sketch out a few ideas for a skirt, choose the best design idea and then make their skirt. They modeled their creations in a mini-mock fashion show, everyone using a secret ballot to vote for their favorite skirt. The winner was Melissa Boone! She made a little brown A-line mini with a stretch yoke band and hand-made, 3-d flower applique.
Great job Melissa!
